ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය තාරුණ්‍යයේ දැවැන්ත පරිවර්තනයක් උදෙසා ක්‍රීඩා හා යෞවන කටයුතු අමාත්‍යාංශයට අනුබද්ධ ජාතික තරුණ සේවා සභාව විසින් සංවිධාන කරනු ලබන "Smart youth" ප්‍රදර්ශන මාලාවේ ආරම්භක ප්‍රදර්ශනය එළැඹෙන 14-15 දෙදින ගාල්ල සමනල ක්‍රීඩාංගනයේ දී පැවැත්වේ.
ගෙවී ගිය මාස පහක කාලය තුළ ඩෙංගු රෝගීන් 25,000කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක් වාර්තා වූ බවත් එම කාලය තුළ ඩෙංගු වැලඳුණු 9 දෙනකු මරණයට පත් වූ බවත් ජාතික ඩෙංගු මර්දන ඒකකයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය සුදත් සමරවීර මහතා ජනාධිපති මාධ්‍ය කේන්ද්‍රයේදී පැවැති මාධ්‍ය හමුවකට එක් වෙමින් ඊයේ (6) පැවසීය.
ජූනි 05 වැනිදාට යෙදී තිබුණු ලෝක පරිසර දිනය සංකේතවත් කරමින් පාර්ලිමේන්තු සංකීර්ණයේ එකතු වන ඉවතලන ප්ලාස්ටික් බෝතල් බහාලීම සඳහා බඳුන් ප්‍රදානය කිරීම කථානායක මහින්ද යාපා අබේවර්ධන මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් ඊයේ (05) සිදුවිය.
මහව සිට අනුරාධපුරය දක්වා වන දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ සිදුවන අලුත් වැඩියාව හේතුවෙන් මෙවර පොසොන් සමයේ වැඩි අතරේක බස් සේවවාක් යෙදවීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ සභාපති ලලිත්ද අල්විස් මහතා පැවසීය.
කොළඹ - මහනුවර මාර්ගය පහළ කඩුගන්නාව ප්‍රදේශයෙන් හෙට (08) දිනයේ වසා තැබීමට සැළසුම් කර තිබේ.
ජගත් පරිසර දිනය අදට (05) යෙදී තිබේ. 1972 ජුනි මස 5 වන දින සිට 16 වන දින දක්වා ස්විඩනයේ ස්ටොක්හෝම් නුවර පැවති මානව පරිසරය සුරැකීම පි්ළිබදව එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සමුළුවේ සමාරම්භක දිනය සනිටුහන් කිරීම සඳහා සෑම වසරකම ජුනි මස 05 වන දින ජගත් පරිසර දිනය ලෙස ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර තිබේ.
නවීන ලෝකයට විවෘත වන පරිදි අවුරුදු 21 දී ප්‍රථම උපාධියත්,අවුරුදු 23දී පශ්චාත් උපාධියත්, අවුරුදු 27දී ආචාර්ය උපාධියත් සම්පූර්ණ කළ හැකි වන පරිදි දරුවන්ට අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීමේ අයිතිය තහවුරු කිරීමක් වත්මන් අධ්‍යාපන ක්ෂේත්‍රයෙන් සිදු කරන බව අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍ය ආචාර්ය සුසිල් ප්‍රේමජයන්ත මහතා පැවසීය.
තාවකාලිකව වසා දැමුණු කොළඹ පිටත වටරවුම් මාර්ගයේ කඩුවෙල අන්තර් හුවමාරුව අද (5) උදෑසන 8 සිට සාමාන්‍ය පරිදි මෙහෙයුම් කටයුතු ආරම්භ කළ බව මාර්ග සංවර්ධන අධිකාරිය කියයි.
The Chefs Guild of Lanka yesterday held the Culinary Art Food Expo and the Live Cooking Competition at the BMICH. Korean Ambassador Miyon Lee and World Association of Chefs Societies President Chef Thomas Gugler inaugurated the event along with Chefs Guild of Lanka and Culinary Art Food Expo 2024 Chairman Chef Gerard Mendis. The objective of the event titled ‘Tea, Spice, and Coconut Festival and Culinary Talent Hunt” is to promote our cuisines to the world.

In another landmark judgment pertaining to the scope of the pardon granted by the executive President, the Supreme Court today ruled that former President Maithripala Sirisena's decision to grant a Presidential pardon to to Royal Park murder convict Don Shamantha Jude Anthony Jayamaha is arbitrary and not valid in law.
අයහපත් කාලගුණය හේතුවෙන් ඇතිවූ ගංවතුර ඇතුළු ආපදා තත්ත්වයන්ගේ බලපෑමට ලක්වූ කොළඹ, කොළොන්නාව ප්‍රදේශයේ මෙන්ම රටේ අනෙකුත් ප්‍රදේශවල ජනතාවට ආහාර පාන සැපයීම සහ අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය සේවාවන් සලසා දීම සඳහා ජනාධිපති රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ මහතා විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කළ අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල සංදේශය සඳහා ඊයේ (03) රැස්වූ අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය අනුමැතිය ලබාදී තිබේ.
අද (07) දුම්රිය වර්ජනය හේතුවෙන් ගමන්වාර 32ක් අවලංගු කර තිබෙන බව දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නිවේදනය කර තිබෙන බව වාර්තා වෙයි.

A delegation representing 14 leading private sector companies together with Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) engaged in a high-level visit to explore strategic investment, trade, and growth opportunities in key sectors in the Northern Province.
Organised by the Intern-ational Labour Organisation (ILO) in partnership with EFC, among the key objectives of the visit were to showcase the investment potential of northern province, foster dialogue, and collaboration among key stakeholders, and facilitate partnerships that benefit both businesses and communities.
In addition to engagement with the Northern Province Chief Secretary Ledchumanan Ilaangovan, the visit included stakeholder consultations to provide an analysis of the opportunities and the policy and regulatory landscape for doing business in the North. This was chaired by the Office of the Chief Secretary. The delegation also participated in a visit to the Achchuveli Industrial Estate; a networking event with entrepreneurs and business associations; as well as consultations with key sectoral actors including government organisations and regional chambers.
Appreciating the efforts to promote inclusive and investment driven growth in the region, Northern Province Chief Secretary Ledchumanan Ilaangovan said: “Looking ahead, let’s unite to transform aspirations into actions, we welcome and support the delegation promoting investment opportunities and looking forward to working with them.”
