These companies represent a diverse range of sectors identified to the Colombo Port City Special Economic Zone, including IT, finance, professional services, shipping, logistics, tourism, healthcare, real estate development, and global capability centres.
The Hambantota International Port (HIP) has experienced a substantial increase in volumes, with a 40% growth recorded in 2024 to date. The port’s Commercial and Marketing division says the growth is expected to reach 50% by the year end.
The Colombo Dockyard (CDPLC) last week ceremonially laid the foundation to build a full-fledged engineering workshop at the Hambantota International Port (HIP).
