දේශපාලන පලිගැනීම් පිළිබඳව සොයා බැලීම සඳහා පත් කරන ලද ජනාධිපති පරීක්ෂණ කොමිෂන් සභාවේ වාර්තාව ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා වෙත අද පිළිගන්වනු ලැබුවා. කොමිසමේ සභාපති විශ්‍රාමික ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණ විනිසුරු උපාලි අබේරත්න විසින් අද (08) පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේ දී ජනාධිපතිතුමා වෙත වාර්තාව භාර දුන් බවයි ජනාධිපති මාධ්‍ය අංශය සඳහන් කළේ.

මහජන ආරක්ෂාව භාර ඇමති සරත් වීරසේකර ඊයේ (07) දින පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී අනාවරණය කර සිටියේ; කොවිඩ් – 19 දෙවන රැල්ල මතුවූ බ්‍රැන්ඩික්ස් කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව තුළට එම වෛරසය පැමිණියේ කෙසේදැයි මෙතෙක් අනාවරණය කරගැනීමට නොහැකි වී ඇති බවයි.

The Government has proposed to issue a six months visa to tourists instead of the current one month visa once the BIA reopens, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said.

Schools in the Eastern Province that were closed for the cyclone will be reopened today except the schools in four education zones in the Kalmunai Divisional Health Services Director's Division.

With several public and private sector establishments coming to a near standstill during COVID-19, the government has taken several revenue enhancement measures to achieve an income of around 9.5 per cent of GDP in 2021, according to a Finance Ministry fiscal strategy report.
