Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday requested the people to give a mandate at the presidential election for a general election without delay.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂ ගෝඨභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ප්‍රතිපත්ති ප්‍රකාශනය අද කොළඹ නෙළුම් පොකුණ මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාවේදි හදුන්වා දුන්නේය.

සිතාගැනීමටත් අපහසු මට්ටමේ එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂ ප්‍රබලයකු නුදුරේදීම ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාට සහාය දීම සඳහා එක්වනු ඇති බව හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ ජනාධිපති අපේක්‍ෂක ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්‍ෂ මහතාගේ ප‍්‍රතිපත්ති ප‍්‍රකාශය ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්‍ෂයට සියයට සියයක් අනුමත කළ හැකි එකක් බව ශ්‍රී.ල.නි.ප ප‍්‍රචාරක ලේකම්, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත‍්‍රී රංජිත් සියඹලාපිටිය මහතා පැවසීය.

හිටපු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී සජින් ද වාස් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතාගේ මැතිවරණ ව්‍යාපාරයට සම්බන්ධ කර ගැනීම පිළිබඳ ගාල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ආණ්ඩු පක්ෂ පසු පෙළ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරුන්ගේ විරෝධය පළ වී ඇති බව වාර්තාවේ.

දෙමළ ජාතික සන්ධානයේ, රිෂාඩ් බදූර්දීන් මහතාගේ සමස්ත ලංකා මහජන කොංග්‍රසයේ සහ රවුෆ් හකීම් මහතාගේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා මුස්ලිම් කොංග්‍රසයේ සහාය ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණට වුවමනා නොමැති බව පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

මේ මොහොතේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී කුමාර වෙල්ගමගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් ග්‍රෑන්ඩ් ඔරියන්ටල් හෝටලයේ විශේෂ හමුවක් පැවැත්වෙන බව දේශපාලන ආරංචි මාර්ග වාර්තා කරයි.

විදේශ සංචාරයක යෙදී සිටින ජනාධිපති මෛත‍්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා මේ මස 28 වනදා යළි දිවයිනට පැමිණීමට නියමිතය.
