Parts of Grandpass in Colombo have been isolated with immediate effect.

Five Grama Niladhari (GN) divisions in Batticoloa have been isolated from this morning with immediate effect, Head of the National Operations Center for Prevention of COVID-19, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said.

All passenger arrivals into SriLanka will be suspended from May 21 to May 31, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) said. CAASL Chairman Upul Dharmadasa said flight arrivals will be suspended from midnight on May 21 to midnight on May 31. He said the decision had been taken considering prevailing COVID-19 situation in Sri Lanka.

The government has declared May 24 and 25 as special Government Holidays.
