President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is likely to appoint an interim Government today until the next general election which is due next year, political sources disclosed last evening.

Sri Lanka’s new President Gotabaya Rajapaksa assumed duties at the presidential secretariat Tuesday after winning 52 percent of the vote on 2019 presidential elections.

ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා 1981 අංක 15 දරන ජනාධිපතිවරයා තෝරාපත් කරගැනීම පිළිබඳ පනතේ 56වන වගන්තිය යටතේ ශ්‍රි ලංකා ප්‍රජාතාන්ත්‍රික සමාජවාදී ජනරජයේ ජනාධිපතිවරයා ලෙස තෝරා පත් කර ගත් බවට වන ගැසට් පත්‍රය නිකුත් කර ඇත.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe met President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday and said he would discuss with party leaders and ruling party members what the next move would be regarding the handing over of government and brief him about the final decision.

ඕනෑම අවස්ථාවක මහ මැතිවරණයකට හෝ පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණයකට සූදානම් බව මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව පවසයි.

නව ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා රාජ්‍ය ආයතන සම්බන්ධයෙන් විශේෂ තීරණයක් ගෙන තිබෙනවා.

නව ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා අද(19) පෙරවරුවේ වැඩ භාරගැනීමට නියමිතව තිබේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ 07 වන විධායක ජනාධිපතිවරයා ලෙස තේරී පත් වූ ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා එම ධූරයේ දිවුරුම් දීම අද (18) පෙරවරුවේ සිදු කෙරෙනවා.

නව ජනාධිපතිතුමා දිවුරුම් දීමෙන් පසුව පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ ඉදිරි කටයුතු සිදුවිය යුතු ආකාරය පිළිබඳව අග්‍රාමාත්‍යවරයා, විපක්ෂ නායකවරයා, සෙසු පක්ෂ නායකයන් හා පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරු රැසක් සමග කතානායක කරූ ජයසුරිය මහතා සාකච්ඡා කර ඇත.

පාර්ලිමේන්තුව විසුරුවා හැර මහ මැතිවරණයක් පැවැත්වීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් කථානායක කරු ජයසූරියගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී හෙට (20 වැනිදා) පැවැත්වෙන පක්ෂ නායක රැස්වීමේදී අවසන් තීරණය ගැනීමට නියමිතය.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ 07 වන විධායක ජනාධිපතිවරයා ලෙස තේරී පත් වූ ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සිය නිල ධජය හඳුන්වා දී තිබෙනවා.

මෙරට හත් වන විධායක ජනාධිපති වශයෙන් තේරී පත් වු ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්‍ෂ මහතා හෙට (20) පෙරවරුවේ චාරිත්‍රානුකූලව මහනුවර ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවට පැමිණ ශ්‍රී දළදා සමිදුන් වැඳපුදා ගෙන සිය ඉදිරි වැඩ කටයුතු සදහා ආශිර්වාද ලබා ගැනීමට නියමිතය. ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාවේ දියවඩන නිලමේ නිලංග දෑල මහතා විසින් ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්‍ෂ මහතා පිළිගනු ඇත.

The appointment of a new Prime Minister and Cabinet is likely to be delayed till tomorrow pending a top level meeting between President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa tomorrow.

ජනාධිපතිවරණ ප්‍රතිඵලයෙන් අනතුරුව ආණ්ඩුවක් වශයෙන් ගන්නා ඉදිරි පියවර සම්බන්ධයෙන් සාකච්ඡා කිරීම සඳහා ආණ්ඩු පක්ෂයේ සියලුම මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් අද (18) පස්වරුවේ රැස්වීමට නියමිතය.

නව මහ බැකු අධිපතිවරයා ලෙස ආචාර්ය නන්දලාල් වීරසිංහ මහතා පත් කිරීමට තීරණය කර තිබෙන බව වාර්තා වේ. ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා විසින් මේ වනවිට අවසන් තීරණයට එළඹ ඇති බවයි වාර්තා වන්නේ.
