Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said that no soldier has ever refused to step outside if not vaccinated.
He added that none of them have asked that their wives or mothers be vaccinated by evading normal procedures.
He added that soldiers helping others in wheelchairs to receive their Covid-19 vaccine may have forgotten their own.
He aired these views during a discussion on a TV programme.
