Army mobile vaccination fleet to begin in WP today

The Sri Lanka Army will commence a mobile vaccination for the elderly, sick, handicapped and feeble citizens from today in the Western Province.

The Army said that the Western Province-based Mobile Vaccination Fleet, will begin Thursday (12) morning at the Army Headquarters - Sri Jayawardenapura as per directions given by Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.
To begin with, ten special vehicles will be available with medical teams of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) and the Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health.

They will administer the vaccines by visiting doorsteps only after those who need this mobile service register themselves with the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) through Hotline Nos 1906 or 0112860002.
