The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa will launch his election campaign from Anuradhapura today, his spokesman MP Dullas Alahapperuma said yesterday.

Former Army Commander General Mahesh Senanayake expects Attorney-at-law Nagananda Kodituwakku to support the NPP at the upcoming presidential election.

2019 ජනාධිපතිවරණය සඳහා අද නාමයෝජනා භාරගත් අතර ඒ සඳහා අපේක්ෂකයන් 35 ක් ඉදිරිපත්ව සිටී. කෙසේ වෙතත් බහුතරකගේ අවධානය යොමුව තිබෙන්නේ නව ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී පෙරමුණෙන් ඉදිරිපත්ව සිිටින සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණෙන් ඉදිරිපත්ව සිටින ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පිළිබඳවයි.
