A high-level delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by its International Department Vice Minister Chen Zhou will visit Sri Lanka from January 14 to 18, the first official visit of the Chinese party in 2023 and after the 20th CPC National Congress, diplomatic sources said.

2021 වසරට සාපේක්ෂව පසුගිය 2022 වසරේ රබර් ආශ්‍රිත අපනයන ආදායම 39 % කින් ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බවත් , රබර් අමුද්‍රව්‍ය ආනයනය 93 % කින් පමණ පහළ ගොස් ඇති බවත් මුදල් රාජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය රංජිත් සියඹලාපිටිය මහතා පවසයි.

දේශීය සම්පත්වලින් විදේශ විනිමය උපයා ගත හැකි නව ක්‍රමවේදයන් සොයා බැලීම සඳහා හොඳම සහ සුදුසුම වේදිකාව ආර්ථික අර්බුදය විසින් නිර්මාණය කර දී ඇතැයි මුදල් රාජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය ආචාර්ය රංජිත් සියඹලාපිටිය මහතා පවසයි.

රුපියල් මිලියන එක්ලක්ෂ හැටදහසක භාණ්ඩාගාර බැදුම්කර නිකුතුවක් අද (12) සිදු කෙරෙන බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව පවසයි.

The liquidity deficit in the domestic money market, which remained significantly high during the first half of 2022, declined in the latter part of 2022. However, in spite of the improvements in money market liquidity conditions, market interest rates continued to remain high, partly due to subdued activity in the domestic money markets.

රටේ ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ සිට සියලු අමාත්‍යවරුන්, මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් මෙන්ම නිලධාරීන්ගෙන් මූල්‍ය නොවන ප්‍රතිලාභ සඳහා අයවිය යුතු බදු (Tax on non-cash benefits) නිසි පරිදි අයකර ගැනීමට ක්‍රමවේදයක් ක්‍රියාත්මක විය යුතු බව රජයේ මුදල් පිළිබද කාරක සභාවේ සභාපති පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී ආචාර්ය හර්ෂ ද සිල්වා මහතා පසුගියදා අවධාරණය කළේය.

පසුගිය නොවැම්බර් මාසයේ මෙරට උද්ධමනය සියයට 65ක් දක්වා අඩු වී ඇති බව ජන හා සංඛ්‍යලේඛන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පවසනවා.

Indian Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have shown their keenness to import ethanol from India. 

The minister of road transport and highways said that he discussed about ethanol with the government of both the countries—Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

"I was able to discuss this matter with PM of Bangladesh and even the Sri Lankan minister. Both are keenly interested about import of ethanol from India for adding ethanol into petrol in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka," Gadkari said while addressing the CII Conference on Bio-Energy.
     
The minister also said that in 15 days he has a meeting with Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, where a discussion would be made on making a policy for starting of ethanol pumps in the country.
     
The future of ethanol is very good, the minister said.
     
The government, he said, is eager to purchase more ethanol and also convinced to encourage the use of alternate fuel.
     
"Because of green fuel the pollution problem is also going to resolve," Gadkari explained.(PTI)
