Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday told the Presidential Commission probing corruption that the DPJ Building was selected for the relocation of the Agriculture Ministry based on a Cabinet decision. He said that on no occasion had he instructed the officials to select that building for the Agriculture Ministry.

The intelligence service in the country should be made independent so that the intelligence officers could operate effectively irrespective of any factors pertaining to caste, race and religion, Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said.
