Police spokesman Ajith Rohana today assumed duties as the Senior DIG in charge of Traffic and Crimes at the Battaramulla.
Accordingly, the Crimes Division, Police Narcotics Bureau, the Traffic Control and Road Safety Division, the Naval and Tourist Division as well 11 related divisions will be functioning under SDIG Rohana.
Criminal Intelligence and Prevention Division, Crime Reporting Division, Police Kennels Division, Child & Women Bureau, Victims of Crime and Witnesses Assistance and Protection Division will also be under the preview of Senior DIG Rohana.
He took over the new posting at a simple ceremony held at Battaramulla adhering to health guidelines.(Daily Mirror)
