Inter-Provincial Private Bus Service will be suspended until May 30 from tonight, National Transport Commission (NTC) Director General Nilan Miranda said.
He told the Daily Mirror that with last night's announcement, there was no confirmation given.
However, following the decision by the Army Commander today, the NTC decided to stop all inter-provincial bus services from tonight.
However, private bus service within the provinces will be in operation as usual.
