The Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe yesterday assured to address the rise in short-term interest rates which was partly triggered by liquidity shortage in the market.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුවේ (CBSL) 2021 වාර්ෂික වාර්තාවට අනුව 2020 හි රු. බිලියන 285.4 ක ආයෝජන ආදායමට සාපේක්ෂව ඉකුත් වසරෙදී මුළු ආයෝජන ආදායම ලෙස රු. බිලියන 342.2 ක ආදායමක් උපයමින් සේවක අර්ථසාධක අරමුදල (EPF) 2021 අවසානය වන විට ට්‍රිලියන 3 ක අගයක් ඉක්මවා ගොස් ඇති බවට ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව වාර්තා කරයි.

මේ වසරේ මුල් මාස හත තුළ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ තේ අපනයන වටිනාකම අඩු පරිමාවක් මත මෙතෙක් වාර්තා නොවූ ඉහළම අගයකට පැමිණ ඇති බව කර්මාන්ත ආරංචි මාර්ග පවසයි.

ලබාගත් ණය සදහා බැංකු පොලී අනුපාත ඉහළ දැමීම හේතුවෙන් පීඩාවට පත්වූවන්ට සහන සැලසීමට බැංකුවලට උපදෙස් ලබා දී ඇති බව මහබැංකු අධිපති ආචාර්ය නන්දලාල් වීරසිංහ පවසනවා. එලෙස අපහසුතාවට පත්වූ ගණුදෙනුකරුවන්ට බැංකුව සමග සාකච්ඡා කර සහනයක් ලබා ගත හැකි බවයි මහ බැංකු අධිපතිවරයා පැවසුවේ.

2023 වර්ෂය සදහා ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබෙන අයවැය තුළින් උද්දමනයට දැඩිව මුහුණදී සිටින ජනතාව ආරක්ෂා කරගැනීමට වැඩි අවධානයක් ලබා දී ඇති බව මහබැංකු අධිපති ආචාර්ය නන්දලාල් වීරසිංහ පවසනවා.
