European Union Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, H.E. Carmen Moreno, met with Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando at the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
The meeting took place ahead of Ambassador Moreno’s departure from Sri Lanka and served as an opportunity to reflect on the longstanding cooperation between Sri Lanka and the European Union.
Both sides exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral cooperation and economic relations between Sri Lanka and the European Union.
The Deputy Minister expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Moreno for her contribution towards strengthening Sri Lanka–EU relations during her tenure.
