The United National Party (UNP) said yesterday it is concerned about the Government’s decision to open the borders to tourists in the New Year. The recent days have seen an increase in the number of cases reported throughout Europe, with many countries choosing to re-impose lockdowns in the lead-up to the New Year.

It is compulsory to arrive at a final decision with regard to the disposal of bodies of Muslim brethren who die of COVID-I9 without delay, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) said.

මෙරට යුද්ධය පැවති සමයේ සිදුවූ බව පැවසෙන මානව හිමිකම් උල්ලංඝණය කිරීම් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජාත්‍යන්තර පරීක්‍ෂණයක් පවත්වන ලෙස එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සංවිධානයෙන් නැවත වරක් ඉල්ලීමක් කිරීමට දෙමළ පක්‍ෂ තීරණය කර තිබෙනවා. ප‍්‍රධාන පක්‍ෂ 3 ක් එක්ව මෙම ඉල්ලීම සිදුකරන බවයි උතුරු පළාත් සභා හිටපු මන්තී‍්‍ර එම් කේ සිවාජලිංගම් පැවසුවේ.

ඉදිරි පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණය පවත්වන දිනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අවසන් තීරණය ගැනීම ආණ්ඩුවේ පක්ෂනායකයන්ට පැවරීමට කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලය තීන්දු කර ඇත.

2020 දෙවැනි කාර්තුවේ දළ දේශීය නිෂ්පාදිතයේ දත්ත අනුව ආර්ථික වර්ධන වේගය සෘණ 16.3ක් වශයෙන් වාර්තා වීමත් සමග රට ආර්ථික අගාධයක් කරා ගමන් කරන බව පැහැදිලි වන්නේ යැයි විපක්ෂ නායක සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා පවසයි.
